The new station area at Tournon St-Jean is easily accessible for disabled users. However our vintage trains are not on the same level as the platform. There are three steps up into the train.
Children under 14 years cannot travel alone and are under full responsibility of the adults who are with them. All children present on the platform must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 4 years must sit on the laps of their accompanying adults.
Our vintage trains are narrow, therefore cumbersome objects (push chairs, coolers, bikes etc.) are not allowed in the passenger carriages. For journeys to Lamastre, a baggage wagon may be made available on reservation. Pets are admitted under the responsibility of their owners. They must be kept on a short leash and if necessary wear a muzzle.
Tickets can be bought at the ticket office against national holiday vouchers (« Chèques Vacances/ANCV »). There is a drop-off point and a car park reserved for the disabled directly on the station forecourt. A large car park for light vehicles, coaches and camper vans is situated below the station and is free of charge for the day.
There is a covered picnic space for visitors at the station at Tournon St Jean on the banks of the river. The gift shop is open all season and offers a wide range of postcards, souvenirs, local produce, books and cold drinks. A refreshment stand is open in July and August for the sale of ice creams and cold drinks.
